    Hi to all from a newcomer to this hobby. I am slowly progressing with my first layout and making all the newbie mistake, glued up points etc and have had to lay most of the track for a second time. I am now up to building a bridge and have noticed several mentions in the archives of Guild Bridge design plan book. I cant find any links to it, is it in the archives or still in publication?

    regards

    My edition of the book is the 1983 version – I’m not aware of one after that.

    The Guild plan series has some stuff on bridges: https://nzmrg.org.nz/all-mainmenu-0/productcategory-66/bridges.

    It’s quite possible to find photos and drawings in archives, national library, Te papa etc – all online.

    Wouldn’t you know it: a copy of the bridge book sold on Facebook today.

    Hi Colin, just to add to Lawrence’s comment above, I see the NZMRG Bridges Plan Book is available in a few libraries as well. I’m meant to be sorting the store onto this website but for now the old website (www.nzmrg.org.nz) still does that job;

    I have a spare copy of the ‘Railway Bridge Plans’ produced by the Guild if you want to purchase one,

    PS – the one I have available was published in April 1968.

    Hi Bruce, how much do you want for it. The bridges I am interested in were made well before 1968.
