Nelson’s raised level track has four gauges (2.5, 3.5, 5 and 7.25inches). The variety of locos seen are scaled to suit the gauge, although sometimes this can be a little loose (i.e. 1/8th scale for a NZR loco running on 5inch gauge). There is also a ground level track, better suited for the larger of the 7.25″ gauge models.

I’m sure several of the locos will be visitors from other clubs etc, but don’t know the geographical extent of this.

This page https://nelsonmodellers.org.nz/join-us/ is headed with two fine models of Ab and Wab, which will be for 5inch gauge.

Great stuff, thanks for posting… no issue with “larger scale” models being posted here at all. In fact I’ve often wondered why it is there isn’t much cross over between the two, given a lot of people I know have a foot in both camps so to speak.
